Privacy Policy

The short version

You can use Football Tactics without creating an account of ours and without enabling analytics. Your lineups, jerseys and player photos stay on your device and, unless you turn it off, in your own iCloud account so that your other devices can use them. We never receive them. You can also choose to share them. Optional usage analytics are off by default.

What stays on your device

• Your lineups, jerseys, player names and numbers.
• Photos you choose for your players. The app only receives the pictures you pick and copies a small cropped version into its own storage. It sends it nowhere, except to your own iCloud if backup is on.

Deleting a lineup removes that lineup. Players and photos saved in your library may remain for use in other lineups. Deleting the app removes its local data; copies you shared elsewhere are unaffected.

iCloud backup and sync

The app can copy your lineups, jerseys, players and photos to your private iCloud (CloudKit) so that you can recover them on a new device and use them on all devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in the app’s Settings.

This data is stored in your own iCloud account and is processed by Apple under your Apple Account. It counts against your iCloud storage. We do not have access to it, cannot read it and do not receive a copy. Turning sync off stops future copies; data already in iCloud stays there until you delete it, for example in your device’s iCloud settings. Deleting an item in the app deletes it from your other synced devices.

Purchases

Football Tactics Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. To recognise the purchase, the app asks the App Store for your entitlement on your device. Players who downloaded an earlier free version keep the Pro features; the app checks this through the App Store’s record of your first download.

Sharing

When you tap Share, the app creates an image of your lineup and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes. We never receive it.

Third parties and analytics

If you enable “Share usage analytics” in the app’s Settings, the app sends a few predefined events to our own server (footballtactics.org) to help us understand actions such as creating lineups, selecting styles and completing a share. Each event contains its name, a randomly generated installation identifier, and technical information: app version, device type (iPhone or iPad), system version and language. We do not store your IP address in the events database, which is hosted on Cloudflare’s infrastructure.

We do not send player names, photos, lineup titles or exported images, and do not record your screen. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings: collection stops and the installation identifier is deleted from your device, so events already received can no longer be linked to you. Contact us with any question.

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits (pages viewed, country, device type and referring site). This service does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Children

Analytics are optional and disabled by default. We do not ask for ages or knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us.
